LIFESTYLE VENDORS
Unfortunately, Blaauwklippen is not pet-friendly. Our decision to implement a 'no pet' policy was based on the comfort and safety of our visitors. We recognised that some individuals, especially children, may feel uncomfortable around dogs. As a result, we made this choice to ensure that everyone can enjoy their time at Blaauwklippen without any concerns.
In addition, bringing any animals onto the food premises would be considered a violation of regulation 10(a) of the Regulations Governing General Hygiene Requirements for Food Premises and the Transport of Food, R638 of 22 June 2018. The regulation refers:
(10) an animal, subject to the provisions of any law, is not kept or permitted in a room or area where food is handled, except that-
(a) a guide or service dog accompanying a person with a disability may be permitted in the sales or serving area of the food premises;
This office can thus not condone a food premises to be declared or used as a so called “pet-friendly area/environment”.
